Marketing and Audience Engagement

We stay focused on the branding of our paper, always working to maintain an updated and "in" design while maintaining our traditional look.  At the beginning of each school year, as a staff we go and sell ads to different businesses, and our strategy is included with our copy of ad sales below. We use our social media to alert the community when our print editions are ready as well as any updates to our online platform. We raise all of our funding on our own as we aren't given any money for publication from our school, so I have learned how to fund our paper through ad sales along with the intricacies of the "business side" of the paper.

Above are two of our half page ads that we include in our monthy paper. We always ensure that during distribution we bring copies of the paper by all businesses that purchase an ad.

We always include one ad page in our monthly edition along with numerous half, quarter, and eighth ads. I work alongside our business editor and the local businesses to aid in design of these ads.
