Course Description: This study will follow the outline of the Ontario School District's Newcomer Strategies document and will direct participants to chapters and pages within The ELL Teacher's Toolbox 2.0 to analyze and synthesize learning as they consider the varying levels of English development, application of the suggested strategies, and instructional considerations when comparing similar strategies or new strategies found within both texts. 

Course Requirements:

• Read the OSD Newcomer Strategies document. 

• Read assigned pages and chapters of The ELL Teacher's Toolbox 2.0. 

• Respond to all reflection questions. 

• Write a 1-page summative reflection.
