Students who transfer to Riverside Prep will be require to complete some additional paperwork that is submitted to the CIF-SS office for approval. Student-Athletes are not considered cleared for athletic contest participation until deamed so by the CIF-SS Office. Please see specific transfer information below.
All parents will be required to fill out and sign the "parent/athlete transfer worksheet" at time of transfer, once enrolled at Riverside Prep.
Types of Transfers:
-Non-Participant: Students who have not participated in any sport over the last 12 calendar months will be considered for a "Non-participant" transfer.
- Sit Out: Students who have transferred to a new school without an official "Valid Change of Residence"and have played interscholastic sports within the last 12 calendar months at their previous school will be required to sit out for a pre-determined amount of time (specific to each sport) prior to being activated to a roster.
-Valid Change of Residence: Students who have transferred school and have completed a "whole household" move to a new residence will be allowed to submit transfer with all required supporting documents.
ALL STUDENTS TRANSFERRING INTO RIVERSIDE PREP MUST BE ACADEMICALLY ELIGIBLE WITH A 2.0 GPA OR BETTER (WITH 20 ACDEMIC UNITS OR MORE) IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ATHLETIC TRANSFER CLEARANCE. THE CIF-SS OFFICE WILL PLACE TRANSFER STUDENTS ON HOLD IF ACADEMICALLY INELIGIBLE AT TIME OF TRANSFER.
