HOW TO MAKE A STUDY PLAN
Before you begin make sure you have a study plan that is achievable and will cover the basics of what you need before the mock/final exam. You might start with the below two steps:
1) Go over the "2025 exam information" page and see what the exam will cover; this is what you need to learn. Look at the marking schedule. This is what you need to break in to chunks to study.
The next page on this website has study activities. You should complete all of these in order as part of your study plan.
2) Plan each week of study. Break your study into chunks, do not try to do it all in one sitting. E.g.
Example study plan:
Day 1: Dance component revision. Watch the key scenes of the Dance and note key movements I see.
Day 2: One task from study activity page, study session 1.
Use the key sequences from yesterdays study and; describe in detail the different Elements and Devices I see being used in these sequences.
Day 3: Dance component revision. A task from study activity page, study session 1.
Day 4: Complete all tasks from study activity page, study session 2. Rewatch the specific extracts for the exam and practice describing motifs I see.
Day 5: Dance component revision. Study session 2: read an exemplar and complete a practice exam.
Show a buddy and teacher for feedback.
Day 6: Rewatch the work and describe all of the technologies/design aspects that I see being used.
Bullet point what themes/ideas each design aspect communicates and how they relate to the choreographic intention.
HOW TO WRITE AN EXAM ANSWER:
PEEL YOUR ANSWERS
PEEL is a way you can write your answers. It stands for POINT, EXAMPLE, EVIDENCE, LINK.
View the document below to learn how to break down a question and answer it using PEEL.
This is a great method to use if you find it difficult to read/understand questions, or find you tend to 'waffle'.
