My Family...
My husband Jeff and I live in Geneseo, and we have three children. Jeff is a recently retired math teacher but still coaches football and baseball at Geneseo High School. He is an avid hunter and fisherman as well.
Elli is 22 and graduated from the University of Iowa; she majored in Sports and Rec Management. She works in Moline and has the cutest dog ever named Vinny.
Maggi is 20 and a junior at Illinois State University where she plays volleyball for the Redbirds. She is studying graphic design and marketing.
My son, AJ is a senior at Geneseo High School; he plays football and baseball. He also loves to go to Ely, MN to fish and he is a hunter (deer and turkey).
We are a very busy family and my favorite thing in the world (besides teaching) is being a mom! :) My family is the most important thing in my life. We all have a love for the outdoors and everyone is my family likes to hunt and fish! We LOVE the St. Louis Cardinals, and we love to go on family vacations. The beach is my happy place; Hilton Head Island and Siesta Key are two of my all time favorites. One of my favorite things to do is run on the beach! I also like to shop, cook, spend time with friends, "dog-sit" Vinny, attend my kids' games and support them in their current chapters of life.
I love my job at Orion Middle School where I have spent the majority of my career and truly enjoy teaching middle school-aged children! They are the BEST!
Welcome to Orion Middle School PE!
My name is Natalie Weller and this is my 27th year of teaching at Orion Middle School and my 31st year overall. I am so excited to be your child's PE and Health teacher. I cannot wait to partner with you in getting to know each and every one of your children this year. I LOVE teaching physical education and health; it's going to be so much fun! I get to have students in PE for 3 years! It is so rewarding to see the growth and development of a middle schooler from the 1st day of 6th grade to the final days of 8th grade.
A little bit about me...
I grew up in Bismarck, IL (a small town about the size of Orion). My mom and dad still love in the old farmhouse I grew up in. I am the oldest child in my family, and I have a brother and a sister. I played volleyball, basketball and ran track in high school and then went on to play volleyball in college. I graduated from Illinois College (in Jacksonville, IL) where I majored in Physical Education and minored in English. I earned my Master's Degree from Olivet Nazarene University. I truly enjoyed my years of 12 years of coaching varsity volleyball, 7th grade volleyball, and club volleyball. Now I very much enjoy being a cheerleader in the stands watching my kids do what they love!
