Mission

The mission of the Richland High School Counseling Department is to ensure equity, access, and success for every student by providing a comprehensive, collaborative program that removes barriers and prepares students for college, careers, and lifelong growth. Through advocacy and empowerment, counselors foster academic achievement, social/emotional well-being, and career readiness while equipping students with the resilience, engagement, and leadership skills needed to thrive. This mission aligns with Orange Unified School District’s commitment to a safe, equitable, and innovative culture of learning where scholars gain a competitive EDGE as leaders, and with Richland High School’s mission to support students in graduating or returning to their traditional high school with enhanced credits through a collaborative environment.
