Your Brady Baseball Black Team visited Shaker last night, and came home with an exciting 6-5 victory. It started with an impressive start on the mound by Sam Melvey who exited the game after the 3rd inning allowing just one run. Oliver Comella then came in and pitched a dominant 3 innings, not giving up a single walk. As the Lions entered the end of the 7th inning, with a one run lead to defend, Sam Melvey reentered the game as pitcher and dominated the inning to seal the victory over the Raiders. Melvey recorded 10 strikeouts in the game, with 5 of those strikeouts catching the Raiders looking. He also recorded 3 RBIs with a base clearing double to get a strong lead early. Other notable events were a beautiful double play started by Ethan Feldman to John Schmidt, a tag out on a hidden ball trick by Joshua Tomaselli, an outstanding performance by Eddie Gempel behind the plate, and an overall great team performance defensively. Wish them luck for their final game today! Go Lions!

College colors are symbols of fun, joy, rivalry, history, and traditions. Many college teams have worn their colors for over 100 years, and there is something incredibly remarkable about that. We hope to see a lot of Colleges represented throughout the halls of Brady!
