Congratulations to our Power of the Pen tournament writers. They competed at the University School district tournament this weekend against 17 other middle schools. Earning individual awards were Vinnie Thorman who earned 7th place out of ninety 7th grade writers and Samiya Mendiratta earned first place overall for 8th grade out of 100 competitors. Brady's 7th grade team won 4th place overall and our 8th grade team placed 3rd overall. Congratulations writers! Check google classroom for information about our next meeting.
There will be NO debate club this week. Please plan to go home after school. There will be another debate competition on Feb. 8. Great job, debaters, on a strong first match!!!!
Due to the cold days, MathCounts is going to run a practice school competition on Tuesday, January 28th from 2:35-3:05 pm in room 225. If you plan on attending the Chapter Competition on Saturday, February 15th, please do your best to attend this session. Let Mrs. Theiss know if you have any questions!

Attention all artists! The yearbook cover contest is here. Show off your artistic ability and enter your artwork in the contest. All entries must be 8.5 inches by 11 inches and portrait oriented. It can be hand drawn or digital art but all work must be original. The winning entry will be featured on the cover of this year's yearbook. Get your entry in to Mr. DeYoung or Mrs. Cannata by February 12.
The Brady Yearbook Pet Photo Contest is back! Do you have great photo of your pet that you would like to share? Send in a digital photo of your pet to Mr. DeYoung or Mrs. Cannata by January 29 to be entered in the contest. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dog, Best Cat, Most Unique Pet, Best Costume, and Funniest Pet. Winning Pets will be featured in this year's Brady Yearbook.

The Environmental Club will be recycling and repurposing Board Games for The Veterans Hospitals and VA centers in Ohio and Michigan. We will be collecting now through gently used, complete board game sets, Playing Cards, Indoor Activity sets, puzzles etc. Please give to Ms. Schaedler in room 226.
Do you have broken or used holiday lights and extension cords? Donate them at the Cleveland Metropark Zoo to help protect lions and cheetahs in Tanzania. Bring your broken, non-working or used strings of lights and extension cords to Ms, Schaedler's Room for recycling by our Environmental Club November 15, 2024 through February 1, 2025.

The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated the Lutrheran West Longhorns 50-19, improving their record to 8 wins and 0 losses. Leading the boys in scoring were Jojo Jacobs, Zack Williams, and Guyton Vucetic. Way to go Lions!!
The 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team defeated Lutheran West 70-8 in dominating fashion in which all 10 players scored in the victory. Trent Brown led the team with 14 points. San Melvey added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Next game is Thursday at Chagrin Falls.
