Personal Thesis (Test)

This essay is a personal thesis paper that I had to create. We were given free reign to talk about any topic we wish to talk about and create a research paper on said chosen topic. This paper was completed over two weeks and during these weeks we conducted research and grabbed quotes to discuss our topic. My topic was on video game addiction and the causes it has on children. I discussed the positives and negatives affect that it has on children, whether it's behavior, schooling etc.. From this assignment I learned a lot about my topic and how to write better. I was able to gain a better idea of how to write strong essays and analysis for quotes.

Annotated Bibliography (AA)

Grade: 100%

The objective of this assignment was to conduct research and grab some articles that could be used for our literature review. This document has ten different articles and we had to write a description of the article and use quotes. By doing this we can already have some research done and can pull these descriptions into our literature review. The work was divided by the three members of my group and we completed it on time and effectively. 

Mid Year Writing Task (Quiz)

Grade: 88%

This assignment was a mid year writing task that we had to complete in order to see our improvement in our writing now compared to the start of the year. We were given three articles from 1996, 2013, and 2015. We had to create a thesis that allowed us to compare the three articles. I had trouble completing this assignment as I found it difficult to read some of the articles and pull certain information from it. Even with this difficulty I was able to complete this assignment and get a good grade from. From this assignment, I used some of the research strategies we learned in class like key word searching and reading the beginning and last sentence of the paragraph. I was able to learn how to better understand these articles and create a good analysis for the information I grabbed.

Final Literature Review (Test)

Grade: 80%

This is the final literature review my group has written for our capstone project. This final literature review contains research my group has done on crutches. In five different sections, an introduction of our project, we discussed the background behind our problem, the problem itself, potential materials to build our product, and a product proposal. This literature review took us around a month to complete. While the actually paper itself was good, the reason we scored low was due to our citation being incorrect. Next time I'll make sure that the citations are correct so that our paper and I was able to learn how to better write my papers.
