In this assignment, we were supposed to mimic a packaging system. I worked mostly on building the whole system with the of Nicodeme. I spent most of my time on this project building the area where the product is, placing the sensor and button in easy to access spot, and the base. Also (not included in photo because it was days later and there is no photo) I had build the conveyor belt and a hydraulic system that would "package" the product.
In this assignment, we had to create a conveyor belt that represented assembly line. We had to create a conveyor belt that would start when a button was pressed and then stopped at certain points so that parts would be added to the gear (product). The conveyor belt had to stop by itself, no human interaction must happen to stop it, the only human interaction would be adding parts to the gear. The plan that I created was to have the distance and vision sensor stop the belt when it sensed/saw a object and then it would start after a few seconds.
