Classroom Guidance

The elementary years are a time of tremendous growth for children; personally, socially, and academically. They are developing their self-concept, learning how to communicate and interact with their peers, while also developing their feelings of competence and confidence as learners.

Classroom guidance lessons are designed to be proactive, and teach students the skills they need to be successful in school and in life. Guidance lessons are focused on developing and practicing those skills, and include topics such as: friendship, cooperation, conflict resolution, understanding and expressing feelings, anger management, bullying, self-esteem, and more!

Our HES Splash Expectations - Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Engaged, and Be a Leader - are also supported though classroom guidance lessons!

My goal is to visit each classroom for Guidance Lessons three to four times each quarter.
