Constructivism is a learning theory that suggests learners build their understanding and knowledge of the world through experiences and reflecting on those experiences (Morrison, 2022). In a constructivist classroom, learning is student-centered, and as teachers, our role is to act as guides rather than dispensers of knowledge. Blended learning integrates both in-person instruction and collaboration with online guidance and lessons (Morrison, 2022). As mentioned in a constructivist model, the teacher acts as a facilitator rather than a lecturer and this connection can be seen in blended learning, where the teacher guides students through both online and offline components, providing support, feedback, and encouragement as they navigate their learning paths (Morrison, 2022). Constructivism advocates for learning that is tailored to the individual needs and pace of each student (Morrison, 2022), an idea supported by blended learning. This model allows for personalized learning paths through interactive online videos, where students can work at their own pace and focus on areas where they need more practice.
