Maekok River Village, Thailand - Outdoor Adventures

In Northern Thailand, students will enjoy the wide-range of activities, such as rafting, kayaking, cooking and climbing. The service projects involve supporting in local schools, through either teaching or constructing new infrastructure.

Phuket - Beach to Bamboo, Thailand

Students will explore the Andaman Coast while helping at a Sea Turtle Conservation Center. Highlights include a hike through Khao Sok National Park, snorkelling, cooking, muay thai, and surfing. 

Community Centre Service in Chiang Mai

Students will support the community in building clay buildings for the local community in the city of Baan Meejo. Other activities include hiking through local Buddhist temples, shopping in the local night markets, swimming in a local waterfall and a cooking class. 

Thailand Marine Conservation

Students will participate in various exciting activities ranging from breathtaking hikes, to traditional cooking classes, to snorkel trips. The group will also learn about sustainability in marine life will be creating rafting coral nurseries and reef Dome projects.

Discover Sam Roi Yot: Outdoor Adventure & Service Learning 

This program combines outdoor adventure and service. Students participate in a variety of activities including hiking, wakeboarding, Muay Thai or Eco Arts, cooking, and team challenges, along with several days of service learning focused on elephant conservation and a sustainable agriculture project.

Merapoh Rainforest Conservation

The program offers an opportunity to engage in hands-on conservation efforts in Malaysia's rainforest. Activities include rock climbing, caving, jungle survival skills, working in a tree nursery, planting trees, and visiting a cocoa farm.

Gopeng - A Hero's Journey, Malaysia

Students will stay at a purpose-built Earth camp and participate in a range of high-octane experiences, such as stand-up paddle boarding, white water rafting, high ropes, caving and climbing. There will also be a focus on sustainability.

Surf and Service in Malaysia

Activities are categorised into Beach & Ocean Adventure, Conservation, and Culture. Beach & Ocean Adventure includes surfing instruction with a 1:3 coach ratio, lifesaving skills training, and various beach sports. Conservation activities involve a Mangrove Wildlife Cruise, Mangrove Planting, and a Beach & Mangrove Clean-up. Culture includes a Batik & Tye Dye Workshop, Beach Yoga, and visits to a local village. 

Borneo Wildlife Conservation

The service project involves hands-on experiences, such as river cleaning, with students also learning about the problems surrounding its wildlife through sanctuary visits. There are also a number of activities, such as biking and rafting. 

Create, Action & Service, Central Vietnam

This program blends creativity with hands-on action. Develop your artistic skills while making a difference through meaningful community projects. 

Vietnam - Service and Community Insight

The Vietnam Service Trip takes school groups to mountain villages in northern Vietnam to work on community-selected projects like refurbishing classrooms and setting up libraries. This life-changing experience helps students improve lives while fostering global awareness and lasting friendships. 

Hanoi - illegal Wildlife Trading

Discover wildlife trafficking and conservation by assisting caretakers with feeding and rehabilitation activities. Experience a night safari to observe animals like civets and deer in their natural habitat, followed by a Sampan river cruise through Ninh Binh's limestone caves and rice fields, often referred to as "Halong Bay on land." 

A Journey through Taupo and Rotoura, New Zealand

This program offers thrilling outdoor adventures like hiking, rafting, jet boating, luging, along with impactful community experiences. You'll explore beautiful landscapes, face challenges, and develop valuable life skills. 

Japan Rewilding, Haneda

This program explores Oze National Park through hiking and camping, engage in sustainable forestry projects, and enjoy activities like canyoning, whitewater rafting, and mountain biking. 

Community Education, Mongolia

Students will immerse in nomadic culture by exploring Ger districts, visiting families, and discovering Ulaanbaatar's history. They will engage with students at the Terelj community school, and contribute to sustainable projects. 

African Conservation Experience

This once in a lifetime trip will provide students with the opportunity to visit a National Park in South Africa. They will immerse themselves in the exploration and understanding of wildlife-related issues and actively contribute to projects.

The Tea Horse Road - Yunnan, China

An unforgettable adventure on the Tea and Horse Road, where you'll tackle challenging terrian and engage with local communities!

Colombo - Tea Life

Through service projects and community interaction in the Maskeliya tea region, this program is focused on community development and cultural exchange. Activities include tea picking, wildlife spotting on an elephant safari, visiting a tsunami center, and a surfing lesson in Weligama.

Philippines Scuba Diving and Service

This trip to Puerto Galera, Philippines, provides students with the opportunity to complete their PADI diving qualification and enjoy fun diving at the area's excellent dive sites. There is also a focus on service through the environmental awareness work and a visit to a local school. 

Katja House Kathmandu - Orphanage Service Trip

Island School have enjoyed a significant partnership with Katja House, for well over 20 years. During this profound experience, our students will support students (aged 4-14 years old) at this orphanage. There will also be opportunities to experience the unique culture of Nepal

Bali: Special Needs Centre

Support Yayasan Widya Guna, a centre for children and adults with special needs, while joining local kids in morning rituals and dance to immerse yourself in Balinese culture. Help build artificial reef stars or hike a dormant volcano for adventure.
