Offsetting your carbon footprint
Offsetting your carbon footprint
The carbon footprint of each of our overseas trips is approximated under each trip description
Tourism is responsible for roughly 8% of the world’s carbon emissions, making it a significant contributor to climate change.
Carbon offsetting allows you to compensate for the carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions you produce by reducing or removing emissions somewhere else.
Please see the links below to various different carbon offsetting programs:

While you can choose to offset your carbon emissions through websites such as that linked above, you can also make lifestyle choices. Some ideas, include:
Volunteer to support Green Earth HK: This may involve supporting projects such as planting trees, which helps to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Be more energy efficient: Make a concerted effort to reduce your energy consumption. Consider using public transport, cycling, or carpooling to reduce carbon emissions.
Sustainable Lifestyle Choices: Opt for eco-friendly products, reduce waste by recycling, and reduce your water usage. Choose sustainable transportation options and support local, organic, or plant-based food sources to reduce environmental impact.
Education and Advocacy: Raise awareness about climate change and advocate for sustainable practices at Island School and in the wider community. Encourage others to reduce their carbon footprints and join you in your efforts to address climate change.
