Unit 1 Summative Assessment: 

Speaking: Group Oral Report

Reading: Read two pieces of topic related texts and answer related questions. 

Listening: Students watch and listen carefully to a video clip and complete comprehension tasks.

      n. Structure information in summaries, essays and reports

Unit 2 Summative Assessment: 

Speaking: Students are given a list of topic-related questions to prepare for the assessment.

Writing: Students design a brochure about a study tour trip to Beijing for the Year 9 students during Quest Week.

Listening:  Students complete the listening comprehension questions based on the introduction of Hong Kong cuisine.

Unit 3 Summative Assessment: 

Reading: Students read two texts related to the application of technology and complete some comprehension tasks.

Writing: Students will choose one out of two given writing prompts and write an essay of 250-350 characters in the appropriate text type.
