The Academic Proofreading & Translation Unit at the OMU Language Centre is committed to delivering high-quality linguistic review and scientific translation services. Our unit specializes in proofreading and translation across multiple languages, including Arabic, English, and French, ensuring academic precision and clarity.

With the assistance of expert linguistic editors, we provide comprehensive support to researchers, faculty members, and postgraduate students. Our meticulous proofreading services refine the linguistic accuracy of academic papers, theses, and publications, while our translation services facilitate seamless communication between languages, bridging the gap between scholars worldwide.

We adhere to rigorous academic standards to ensure consistency, clarity, and integrity in all documents. To maintain professional formatting, submitted documents should meet the following criteria:

Submission Guidelines

For English Documents

• Font: Times New Roman

• Size: 14pt

• Line Spacing: 1.5

For Arabic Documents

• Font: Arial

• Size: 12pt

• Line Spacing: 1.5

All submissions must comply with these formatting guidelines to ensure an optimal review process.

Service Fees

To maintain quality and efficiency, the following rates apply to proofreading and translation services:

• Academic Proofreading: 4 LYD per page

• Scientific Translation: 10 LYD per page

• Abstract Translation: 15 LYD

Request Submission Instructions

Before submitting a request, please ensure the following steps:

1. Fill out the proofreading request form completely and accurately.

2. Proceed to the email submission after completing the form.

3. Attach the Word document containing the text requiring proofreading or translation.

4. You may choose to visit the Language Centre in person to submit the request directly.
