Spotlight: Eureka Math, Growth Mindset, Eureka structures, Technology and Kagan, 

This is my fifth year teaching in OMSD. Majority of my teaching experience lies in upper elementary, specifically 4th grade, however, this year I welcome a fun experience as I move back to third grade after teaching 6th grade. As you enter my classroom, I hope it is evident that it is a place where mistakes are honored and welcomed. I believe fostering a growth mindset within the classroom with our rigorous program is vital in their success. My goal this year is to help students internalize the material by understanding strength in silence paired with opportunities for discussion through the use of Kagan strategies and knowing we met our learning target based on our Eureka lesson structure of the day. For digital learning my hope is to build their understanding of content through exciting platforms that allow their learning to become internalized.
