Ohio’s COVID Advisory Scale

The new Ohio Public Health Advisory Alert System helps schools identify how they can safely operate throughout the school year while the COVID-19 outbreak is still active. Because of the smaller size of OLMC, we are able to offer more consistency and less difference between the Yellow, Orange and Red levels with in-person learning and safety protocols in place. **We will use the leveled system to guide our operations when either the city of Cleveland or Cuyahoga County reaches the following colors:

Yellow (Level 1): OLMC will be open. Students will attend 5 days per week and we will implement mitigation and safety protocols as directed by local and state officials. Distance learning will be optional.

Orange (Level 2): OLMC will remain open; all students will be able to attend 5 days per week with required mitigation and safety protocols; we will obtain additional local and state data to help guide our decision making process for this level. Distancing will be 5-6 feet with additional barriers in place when 6-feet of distancing cannot be maintained. Distance learning will be optional.

Red (Level 3): OLMC will remain open; all students should be able to attend school in person 5-days per week. We will follow all health orders. Additional local and state data will help guide our decision making process for this level. Distancing will be 5-6 feet with additional barriers in place when 6-feet of distancing cannot be maintained. Distance learning will be optional.

Purple (Level 4): “DISTANCE LEARNING” - OLMC will remain closed to students; All students in Grades K-8 will participate in distance learning under the OLMC Distance Learning Model, which will be launched this fall to correspond with the in-person model.
