Are you wondering where to buy books?

Most local, independent bookstores are open for curbside pickup or delivery.

Here are some of Ms. Lora's favorite local bookstores.

*All of these stores can order books for any age group, including adults! Get something for your family and something for yourself.

Does your student love graphic novels? Many Lower School students do! 18 of the top 25 items circulated in our last month together were graphic novels. Ms. Lora's favorite place to get graphic novels is Books with Pictures. And guess what? They're doing curbside pick up, personal shopping and mail order, free local delivery, and selling gift certificates.

Green Bean Books is offering free delivery for orders over $25.00 that are within a reasonable distance of their store. They are also offering curbside pick up for orders of any amount. They have an incredible staff who will help you with recommendations!

A Children's Place Bookstore is also offering curbside pick up for orders as well as free delivery within a 2 mile radius of their store. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff are great too!

Annie Bloom's is also taking online and phone orders, providing curbside pick up and book delivery. They've been around for 40 years, and we'd like to be there to celebrate another 40 with them! Fun fact: Ms. Lora worked at Annie Bloom's when she was a student at Lewis & Clark studying English and Foreign Languages and they were celebrating their 20 year anniversary .

Powell's is also providing curbside pick up and postal delivery. Support your local, independent books and the postal service at the same time!

I'll be posting more places to look for book recommendations, but a great place to go is We Need Diverse Books, and of course, you can always email me: wordenl@oes.edu!
