OES LS Library:

ACCESSING MATERIALS

Below you will find information on how to access print and digital material in the OES Lower School Library. Read the IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO then scroll down to find out how to place books on hold.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

  1. Students may place up to 5 books on hold.

  2. Please only place holds on books that are available at the time of your search.

  3. Our top priority is students with high literacy support needs or students who cannot access books elsewhere. Contact Ms. Lora if this describes you and we will pull your books first.

  4. Contact Ms. Lora if you are not coming for CBI, but would like to do curbside pickup for getting books.

  5. PLEASE bring your books back to campus when you are done with them.

To place holds, log in to our catalog in Destiny using your Google login or to login with Destiny. All students have a Destiny account, which is usually their last name and first initial. For example, mine would be wordenl. For some students, it is their last name and the first two letters of their first name. The password is qwerty.

You can even search by reading level to help you find "just right" books.

If you have questions, please contact Lora, the librarian, at wordenl@oes.edu

Also check out Sora:

What is SORA?

  1. It's a virtual library.

  2. You will find both ebooks and downloadable audio books on Sora.

  3. It's the school library version of Libby, which you may have used through the public library.

  4. It is not a database.

All this means users will only find the digital materials our library has purchased since starting our digital collection in Spring of 2019. It took us 150 years to build our print collection of 19,000+ books. Please be patient with us as we build our digital collection. You will find both ebooks and downloadable audio books on Sora.
