A= Ask for Help
B= Take deep breaths, Bake something or go for a Bike ride
C= Count to 10 or 20 or 100, color a picture
D= Drink water or DANCE
E= Eat your favorite foods (and a balanced diet). OR Exercise!
F= Find a safe place to feel calm.
G= Go to your happy place (in your imagination or in real life) or Go for a Walk.
H= Hug a friend or family member or a stuffed animal. Have Hope, it will be alright.
I= Imagine! Imagine! Imagine! You imagination can take you to a wonderful place. "I" statements too!
J=Journaling, Jogging, and joking around are all helpful coping skills!
K=Be Kind to yourself and others
L=Listen to Music or LAUGH
M= Make a checklist of things you want to accomplish
N= Name the feeling! (Identifying your emotions is essential to feeling better)
O= Organize your workspace and room! Clear areas=Clear minds
P= Positive Affirmations! (ex: YOU CAN DO THIS)
Q= Find some Quiet time to just sit still.
R= Run or Read your favorite book.
S= Separate yourself from the situation.
T= Talk to someone you trust
U= Use your voice and try to be as understanding as possible
V= Voice your concerns! (Be your own advocate) & just a little bit of video games
W= Write things down! Watch a favorite show or movie!
X= Exhale, it will be okay. (Breathe in, breathe out)
Y= Do some Yoga! (Plenty of examples in the following pages)
Z=Zone out and go into a calming and relaxing mood
