Late Work Policy

Late work and missing work will be accepted with a score of no higher than an 80%. The student has one week to turn in the late or missing work after the due date. After the week has ended the late/missing work will no longer be accepted and a score of zero will be given. Any student may correct a test with half credit given. (No matter their letter grade) Graded assignments with a score of 60% or below (D or F) may be corrected with half credit given.

Electronics Policy

Cell Phones

Cell phones are not to be used during school hours. They must be left in lockers and turned off between 7:25 am and until leaving the building after dismissal. The school will not assume responsibility for any cell phone brought to school.

Personal Electronics

These devices should be left in student lockers, unless use has been otherwise authorized by administration or classroom teacher. Unauthorized usage will result in consequences. The school will not assume responsibility for any personal electronic device brought to school.

Grading

Letter grades are used to assess a students' level of understanding of the Missouri state learning standards. Student academic achievement grades (letter grades) will be a combination of formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments range from classroom activities, exit tickets, quizzes, and other evaluations used to influence instruction. Summative assessments are generally large projects or tests that students will complete at the end of a unit of study.
