In order to help determine which course(s) you should take, think about these guiding questions:
What courses do I need to complete for my post-secondary pathway? Try the sample exam(s) listed below for those courses by setting aside a quiet block of time. Afterwards, check your answers! How did you do?
As you complete the sample exams, ask yourself,
do the concepts feel familiar?
do I need to look up a few details to remind myself how to answer these questions?
do I need to spend more time (re-)learning concepts?
If you think the concepts look familiar enough → ask to enroll in the course to complete the credit.
If you needed to look up just a few facts or details → ask to enroll in the course to complete the credit.
If you needed to spend more time to complete questions → try the sample exam for the prerequisite course (left one box on the chart above). Ask the same guiding questions to determine which course you think would help you to be successful in the required courses.
Whatever your decision, you’re the best one to determine where to start so that you’re successful in the course(s) you need to take. Please share your answers to these guiding questions as you request to register in a science course.
