Welcome to our science class website! This year, our young grade 5 scientists will embark on an engaging, hands-on journey through the Ontario Science and Technology curriculum, where they will explore fundamental concepts across four core strands:
Life Systems: Human Organ Systems
Matter and Energy: Properties of and Changes in Matter
Structures and Mechanisms: Forces Acting on Structures and Mechanisms
Earth and Space Systems: Conservation of Energy and Resources
Integrated throughout each unit, students will build essential STEAM skills, using research, hands-on experimentation, coding, and engineering design to solve real-world problems and discover how science shapes our everyday lives.
