Students will be introduced to a variety of animation techniques such as hand drawn, computer generated, stop motion, rotoscope , and 3D animation. They will also learn how to create appealing original characters, animatics, and demo reels. Students will learn the history of animation and explore the many career pathways utilizing animation in both commercial and artistic fields.
Digital Art

This course is an exploration of Adobe Photoshop and Procreate as they apply to fine arts, graphic design, and digital illustration. Students learn digital color correction, retouching, digital painting, image compositing and special effects, creative graphic design techniques, and basic animation techniques in Photoshop and Procreate.
Digital Photography

Photography offers students the opportunity to learn professional photography techniques while working with the latest in computer technology and editing software. This class will take students through a series of assignments utilizing digital SLR cameras, professional lighting equipment, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Lightroom. Students will learn how to properly operate a digital camera as well as the software to edit, enhance, and print digital images.
Digital Studio

Academic Credential: Dual Credit with MATC
Digital Studio is designed for the advanced and motivated digital art, digital photo, or animation student. This course gives students the opportunity to work independently to develop a digital portfolio that can be used for college and career applications. Students will conduct personal research on how to master new skills of their choice with the guidance of their teacher.
