CPI Trainers for OCEC are:
Amy Henkel, OCEC Assistant Director ~ ahenkel@ocecil.org
Lynn Kalnins, CEC Assistant Principal ~ lkalnins@ocecil.org
Initial trainings are available for educational staff that have never been through a CPI training through OCEC, as well as for those that have not maintained their active CPI certification through yearly renewal training. The training will provide a lunch, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Check each date for the specifics of time and location. Training participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement; sturdy close-toed shoes (such as tennis shoes); and a pen to write with. It is advised to bring a sweater or outer layer that can be removed due to the cooler temperature in the room spaces.
Renewal/Refresher trainings are available for educational staff that have been through an Initial CPI training and have maintained active CPI certification by attending yearly renewal training. The training will be hosted in the OCEC office basement in Byron (417 N Colfax Byron, IL 61010), unless noted. Training participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement; sturdy close-toed shoes; and a pen to write with. It is advised to bring a sweater or outer layer that can be removed due to the cooler temperature in the basement meeting room.
