FULL DAY - 4 CREDIT, PAID MILITARY RESESRVE PROGRAM
Program Details:
The Military Reserve Co-op Program only runs during the second semester.
The application process can take several months and can begin as early as late spring before it actually runs the following February/early March of the next school year.
Students need to ensure they speak with their Guidance Counsellor well in advance to ensure they get their compulsory courses (i.e. Math, English) during the first semester.

Ideal Candidates - Students must be:
16 years of age or older (students under 18 will require guardian permission)
Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Have completed 15 High School Credits
16 years old (applicants less than 18 years old must have parental permission to join)
Have completed Grade 10
Have completed grade 11 Biology for Med A applicants
Have completed Grade 11 to be eligible for an Intelligence Operator position
Highly motivated and seeking a challenge
Interest in the Canadian Armed Forces
** Application, Selection and Enrollment Process involves:
Completion of Military Reserve Online Application
FORCEs Physical Fitness Test
Medical Exam
Canadian Forces Aptitude Test
Interview
Security Clearance Screening
Medical
** Enrolment typically takes 3-6 months

HALF DAY - 2 CREDIT, PAID MILITARY RESESRVE PROGRAM
HALF DAY - 2 Credit Naval Reserve Program
Program Details:
Tentatively scheduled to start in February 2026 (Sem 2)
Paid experience which earns students > $62.20/ Half day
Participating students will be required to make their way to HMCS Carleton (79 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, K1A 0K2) and complete modules for Basic Military Qualification (more details to follow for teachers involved)
Complete additional training such as First Aid, Emergency Rescue etc.
The placement would run weekdays from ~1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (can vary based on specialization)

Physical Fitness Test
A two-part Medical Exam
An Interview, and
A Security Clearance
