Module Introduction
For Task 1of this module, you will consider what future job prospects look like for individuals interested in pursuing a given career? What is the average salary for someone in a given career field? How does it compare to other jobs? Which towns/cities in Ontario are hiring? How does it differ from one city or town to the next? Does the salary differ from one region to the next? Does your level of education impact how much money you might earn? What education and skill background do you need to pursue this career field? What educational pathways exist for you to pursue a given career? Where can you receive the proper training and/or education for a given career field? How long will it take and how much will it cost? These and other questions will be explored in this module.
For Task 2 of this module, you will also have an opportunity to listen to individuals from a host of different careers share their career experiences, including their educational pathway, their day-to-day responsibilities, successes, challenges, and other anecdotal stories and pieces of advice for someone interested in pursuing a career in their given field and/or in any field.
For Task 3 of this module, you will learn about some very important tips for anyone who is considering college or university.
