Sora is an online library where students can access ebook and audiobooks that the OCDSB has set up for students. There are many books currently available for students with content levels ranging from K-12. The full site has thousands of books but, as this is a trial period, they are starting with fewer books.
Students can access the SORA account through the OCDSB student portal (www.ocdsb.ca). They will need their student account information. Most students will know this information as they use it weekly to access all kinds of programs but parents of some younger students may need to contact the classroom teacher for account information.
Below is a video made by one of the Board’s Library Technicians showing students and their families how to access Sora.
