STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS - READ ALL
Step 1: Documentation only for Students applying for Grade 10, 11 or 12
Applying for Grade 10, 11 or 12? You will need to upload your full-year timetable in .pdf format from your current school. You can request a copy from the Student Services/Guidance Office in your current school.
Please label the document as follows: LastName_FirstName_for Grade 10, 11 or 12_Art Program Name_Timetable.pdf
For example: Smith_Jane_ for Grade 10_Vocal Music_Timetable.pdf
Current Grade 8 students do not need this document.

Step 2: Application Form for all Grades (Due by December 1st, 2025)
Fill out and submit this form: ARTS CANTERBURY APPLICATION
**The AC Application is a Google Form. Please note that you may have trouble accessing the Application if you are using a browser other than Google Chrome. **
Have an adult double-check all the information before you submit the form. It is important to be available for any of the audition dates/times indicated for your program.

Step 3: References from Two Different Teachers (Due by December 12, 2025)
You must send the reference links below to two different teachers: one will give you a reference as an artist and one will give you a reference as a learner.
Be sure to ask first if the reference is willing to be a reference. If they say yes, send them the link and remind them that the reference forms must be submitted by December 12th, 2025. Please give the reference links to your teachers no later than December 1st!
It is your responsibility to contact your references and to send them the link. It is your responsibility to follow up with your references and ensure that the forms have been submitted. Your application will be considered incomplete at your audition if the reference forms are not submitted.
We will contact you via your primary email contact after December 12th if we have not received your references. If you do not receive an email from us, you can assume that we have received your references.
Link: Reference as an Artist (an arts or academic teacher or teaching artist who knows the student as an artist and who is not a family member)

What to expect after you have submitted your application and contacted your references:
Within 10 business days, arts.canterbury@ocdsb.ca will email an Audition Confirmation Letter to your primary contact email . This letter can include:
Your audition/workshop/interview date(s) and time(s)
Details such as:
what to bring
where to check in
where to park
how early to arrive
if you have a warm-up time assigned (music)
Please note that in the case of inclement weather, we might need to change an audition to a new day (within 1 week of the original date).
