First-year trip

The First-year Trip (FYT) is a cornerstone event in the Bonner Scholars Program, organized by Bonner Scholars Program staff and the First-year Senior Intern. The trip is scheduled during the first 4-5 days of Spring Break. First Year Trip is March 22-26.

FYT Sample Itinerary

Saturday

11:15am: Arrive at Wilder 115 with luggage

11:30am: Brunch

12:15pm: Depart for Cleveland for Cuyahoga Valley National Park

1:00pm: Orientation and service at Cuyahoga Valley National Park

4:00pm: Check into Stanford House

6:00pm: Dinner & reflection

7:00pm: Community-building activities

Sunday

8:00 - 9:30am: Breakfast grab & go

10:00am: Service at Cuyahoga Valley National Park

12:30pm: Lunch

2:00pm: Community-building activities

4:00pm: Cook dinner

6:00pm: Dinner

7:00pm: Community-building activities

Monday

8:00 - 9:00am: Breakfast grab & go

10:00am: Depart for Ohio City

11:00am: Lunch on your own in Ohio City

1:00pm: Site visit at Refugee Response/Ohio City Farm

2:30pm: Perplexity Games escape room

3:30pm: Depart for campus

TBA: Optional dinner
