The First World War

Extension Task

Below is an extension task for your unit on World War One. If you choose to complete the task, it needs to be finished by the Christmas holiday.

• • Imagine you are a historian writing for the National Geographic History magazine, you have been asked to write an article on one of the following:

    • A World War One general

OR

• • • One of the Big Three at Versailles.

• • The article must be a minimum of 2 pages, be well researched using a minimum of 3 different sources (one of which must be a non-internet based source), include a bibliography on a separate page, include no more than two small images per page and show more than one interpretation of the person you have chosen.

  • You also need to create a front cover for the magazine with an image of the person you have chosen, the title of your article and the titles of two other articles on 20th Century History that could appear in the magazine.

You need to include a bibliography of all of the sources you have used in your research.
