Literacy Tasks

You have three literacy tasks that need to be completed throughout the year., You could do them all at once or you could complete one a term, its really up to you.

TASK 1

Create a crossword using keywords from any of the topics studied in year 8. This can be shared with ,and completed by, another member of the class.

TASK 2

Create a literacy mat for a year 7 student. It needs to include key words used in History, along with typical sentence starters and connectives. It should also include key phrases, paragraph structure and essay structure. It all needs to fit on one A4 sheet of paper and should be set out so that each section is in a separate box. An example of a literacy mat can be found on the wall in the History room.

TASK 3

Write a one page biography for one of the key figures in 20th Century History.
