Within this unit we take a look at how crime was investigated in the late 19th Century. Working like police detectives, we concentrate on how the conditions in London in 1888 allowed Jack to commit his crimes. We also study what the crimes can tell us about "Jack" and rthe kind of person he may have been. Finally we investigate why "Jack" was never caught.
