This page provides resources for study and review if you'd like to practice for the exam before you take it.
Auralia & Musition
This is the software that you'll use to take the exam. Once you create an account, you'll have unlimited access to the software's practice materials before you take the exam. Undergraduates have 1 year of access; graduate students have 8 weeks of access.
Practice for Undergraduate Students
Click on either Musition or Auralia in the top navigation. Musition is for Theory practice and Auralia is for Aural practice.
Select Fundamentals Placement Exam from the practice options (if it isn't already selected).
Click on any category to practice material on the exam. See the outline of what is included on the exam here.
Practice for Graduate Students
Click on either Musition or Auralia in the top navigation. Musition is for Theory practice and Auralia is for Aural practice.
Make sure the syllabus is set to "Complete Syllabus" to see all content.
Select the category you'd like to practice with to see different levels of content.
The materials in Musition and Auralia will give you a feel for the software, but the levels do not include all of the content included on the exam. Please see the exam breakdown and the texts for study (below) to review any topics you may need additional practice with.
