Teaching Assistant
I became a TA for the General Engineering department, where I taught the various specializations of engineering (chemical, electrical, biomedical) through weekly lab sessions as well as guided and assisted students in the creation of their projects during the class.
There were two primary reasons why I became a TA. One was that I had enjoyed the class while doing it myself and wished to provide other students with the same passion for engineering I had felt during the class. The second is that I would gain a greater holistic knowledge of engineering by both teaching the students and having access to prototyping equipment.
This development of prototyping skills would allow me to rapidly design and create a prototype of any medical devices in the future and hence the testing procedures can be done sooner.
Residential Assistant
I served as a Residential Assistant (NYU) for NYU where I acted as a liaison between the residents and administration to ensure the students' concerns were being voiced
I also developed and orgainzed several student events
