Adjunct Associate Professor
Maha Hosain Aziz is a professor in the International Relations Program at New York University, teaching global risk and political opinion writing. She grew up across seven countries in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States. Professor Aziz earned her bachelor's degree at Brown University, a master's degree in international affairs (Globalization) from Columbia University, and another master's degree in Comparative Politics (Democratization) from the London School of Economics. She earned her PhD in Political Science at the London School of Economics.
In 2019, she launched her first bestselling book, Future World Order, a seven-time award-winning book. Her sequel, Global Risk, published in 2023, offers predictions for a post-pandemic world, navigating heightened global risks shaped by war, climate change, and technological advancements. The final book in her trilogy, 10 Shock Events by 2030, is set to be published this year (2025).
