Brainstorming: List the two themes on the board: Perseverance and Untold Stories. First, ask the class to define these terms. Then, ask them to think about stories in film, literature, or from their own lives which might share one of these themes.
Some guiding questions include: What experiences have you seen in movies, books, or your own life that represent perseverance and untold stories? Are there experiences from movies, books, or your own life that relate to perseverance and untold stories? After providing think time, ask the students to share some ideas and list them on the board.
Next have the students pick a topic from the board to use as a springboard for a short scene that must show one of the two themes.
Students will be broken up into groups of 3-4
Students will create a scene using the criteria from above
Students will perform their scenes in front of the class
