Student Health Insurance

If you already have health insurance, you’ll need to opt-out of NYU’s student health insurance by June 5, 2025 to ensure that it will be removed from your e-bill. You can do so after you are registered for your summer courses - the MS CRS team will announce when you are registered and can waive out of your student health insurance. 

You will be charged for student health insurance unless you opt-out. Please note that students will need to opt-out one more time in the fall.

Waiving Out of Student Health Insurance: 

1. Once the MS CRS team announces that you are registered for your summer courses, go to https://wellfleetstudent.com/

2. Type in “New York University Washington Square (NYU)” – do not select "New York University Tandon SOE"

3. Click “Enroll or Waive.” 

4. On the next page, click “Waive.”

5. For your Student ID, please type out the N Number that you received in your acceptance letter (e.g. N12345678) and your date of birth in mm/dd/yyyy format. Then, click "Next."

Complete the rest of the form, and waive out of your student health insurance.

Immunization Requirements

You are required by NYU policy and New York State Public Health Law to provide necessary immunization records to the NYU Student Health Center. You can find the requirements and instructions on how to complete your immunization forms HERE. The deadline to submit these requirements is May 15, 2025. Sexual Misconduct Training

As a student of NYU, you are required to complete the Sexual Misconduct Training by August 30, 2025. You will receive an email from the Student Health Center this summer when the course launches. Once you do, visit the NYU Student Health Center’s website, scroll down to the “Think About It” tab, and access the online course link. You can also access the training it by visiting https://nyu-ny.vectorlmsedu.com/login and entering your NYU Home credentials.
