Program Tools

This page provides essential resources designed to help you navigate your academic journey with ease and efficiency. You’ll find detailed information on time management aids, important scheduling tools, and guidelines for using Zoom to enhance your virtual learning experience. As you prepare for the start of the program, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the resources below to ensure a smooth transition into your coursework.

Time Management:

The following tools and documents will be made available as the start of the program approaches to assist with your scheduling. 

• Access to student materials & courses

  • MS CRS Coursework Summary

    • The MS CRS Coursework Summary lists every assignment, webinar, and Capstone event that will be held each semester. This will be available on the first day of each semester to help you map out your schedule for the semester ahead.

  • Course Syllabi

    • Each course will have a syllabus that will list out every reading, video, webinar session, and assignment associated with the course. 

• Scheduling

  • MS CRS Google Calendar

1. • 1. The MS CRS Google Calendar will notify you of every upcoming assignment, webinar, and Capstone event. Please let the MS CRS team know if you are not able to view the Class of 2026 Google Calendar in you NYU Google account.

Using Zoom: 

If you are not familiar with using Zoom, practice using Zoom ahead of your first live session to become familiar with its various functions. 

• Connectivity & Environment

  • When prompted while joining a meeting, open Zoom in the desktop app (vs. your web browser, which has limited functionality).

• • Join from a quiet, private area with strong Wi-Fi and an external microphone (headset or earbuds will work).

  • Mute yourself upon joining the live session to eliminate background noise, but remember to unmute before speaking.

• Attendance

  • Enter your full name when joining Zoom to ensure that you receive credit for attendance.

  • Active participation during live sessions is expected in your courses across the program. This includes keeping your camera on for the duration of live webinars (if possible).
