MA students in the first term of their program are NOT eligible for any scholarships, as these scholarships are based on coursework and/or practical experience within the MA Counseling Programs.
Students completing their degree requirements before Spring 2026 are NOT eligible.
Scholarships require active enrollment in an Applied Psychology degree program, including taking zero-credit courses and maintaining matriculation.
Students who receive tuition remission from NYU or are current NYU employees are NOT eligible for any scholarships.

The Levy Family established the Adrian Levy Scholarship (1985) in memory of Adrian Levy, a former Deputy Commissioner of the New York State Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. Mr. Levy was an alumnus of the New York University Rehabilitation Counseling Program. This scholarship supports MA students dedicated to helping or working with individuals with disabilities (such as physical, developmental, or cognitive) to ensure equal opportunities.

Students who demonstrate advocacy for individuals or groups with disabilities through current coursework, practicum, internships, or other academic-related activities.

This award, established in honor of Professor Gil Trachtman, will be presented to students for their contributions to serving children, parents, and teachers, and for being agents of change in addressing the wrongs and inefficiencies of systems that impact children and families. Preference is given to master's students who are on an internship.
Suggested Talking Points:
Students should demonstrate how their practices are concerned with the interaction and interdependence of children and families with their surrounding systems, taking a holistic view of clients by assessing how individuals affect and are affected by such physical, social, political, and cultural systems.

This award, established in honor of Professor Zlatchen, a member of the faculty from 1947 to 1959, will be awarded to school counseling graduate students for their contributions to improving the life conditions of vulnerable individuals or communities.
