Only the required number. Please don’t submit extra letters; the committee will only review the specified amount.
Multiple Award Applications? A recommender can write for more than one award, but they must submit a separate letter for each.
Who can recommend? Recommenders must be affiliated with NYU (faculty, adjuncts, staff, or practicum/internship site supervisors).
Can I submit my letter? Students are not permitted to submit recommendation letters on behalf of their recommenders.
Advice for Navigating the InfoReady Application:
Do I have to submit my application to send my letter of recommendation? No! You can save your application as a draft and click the Send Reference Letter button on any you'd like to request before you submit your application. This will let your letter writers start working on and submitting your letters, even before your application is submitted. You can read more about requesting a reference letter.
Winners will get an email in early December after the AP Awards Committee meets. In that email, you’ll be asked to confirm which academic term you’d like your scholarship or fellowship applied to.
You can expect a reply within 48 hours.
