Phase 1: Student Self-Nomination/Recommendation Period

Oct. 5 (12 pm ET) to Oct. 27 (5 pm ET)

• Students must complete a nomination form, including a short essay, and upload their resume/CV for each award they wish to apply for.

• Students must also request one or two letters of recommendation from an NYU-affiliated faculty member, adjunct faculty member, or supervisor.

• For Fall 2026, we have transitioned the student self-nomination/recommendation process to InfoReady. Please review the PDF or video guide before completing your application.

Phase 2: Program Review Period

Oct. 30 (12 pm ET) to Nov. 20 (5 pm ET)

• Program Directors, with support from their program committees, will review all completed student self-nominations and submit a list of nominees to the Awards Committee.

Phase 3: Awards Committee Review

Nov. 24 (12 pm ET) to Dec. 4 (5 pm ET)

• The Awards Committee will review all program nominations and select the recipients for each scholarship/fellowship.

Phase 4: Eligibility Verification and Award Processing

• The Office of Graduate Admissions will review the Awards Committee's selections to verify student eligibility.

• Eligible awards will then be processed in coordination with the NYU Office of Financial Aid.

Phase 5: Applicant Notification and Award Announcement

• All applicants will be notified of their application status, and the committee will announce scholarship/fellowship recipients
