Virtual reality (VR) is a digital environment that simulates reality. In the past, VR has mostly been used for entertainment purposes. However, recently, it has also been applied to therapy in an attempt to conduct effective therapy in a more controlled and less expensive environment. In addition, different types of sensory input, not just the traditional visual and auditory ones, have been implemented into these environments in order to make the experiences feel more real. Although these two innovative ideas have been combined in the past, no one has yet measured the effect of adding sensory input to VR therapy.
