As the world has become more and more industrialized we have been releasing increasing amounts of greenhouse gas, such as carbon dioxide and methane, into the atmosphere. This increases the greenhouse effect which causes a general increase in temperatures around the world as well as many other different changes to the climate. Carbon sequestration is a way we have been researching to fix this problem and save the world before we destroy it. It involves taking carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and putting it elsewhere, like the bottom of oceans coal reserves and minerals. With enough research and funding we will eventually find a way to safely and cheaply store carbon dioxide until we find a more permanent solution to saving our planet.
What is the most important thing you have learned in Science Research?
The most important thing I have learned from science research was the ability to read and understand high level literature. This is very important to almost every job and it will allow me to get a higher understanding of what I am reading compared to my peers who never took this course.
