Nevada's wildlife includes over 4,000 species. Different species of rodents, birds, reptiles, and mammals. With the main predators being coyotes, mountain lions, mule deer, elk, and foxes.

Desert Bighorn Sheep

Desert Bighorn Sheep is the State animal of Nevada. Protected by the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. Bighorn sheep are known to adapt to the mountainous desert environment. Bighorn sheep can live without water for days and roam up mountain peaks easily.

Wild horses

Wild horses are popular in Nevada. Half of the wild horse population in the United States lives in Nevada. Staying protected by the Wild and Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971. To stop the harmful treatment, abuse, and slaughter of wild horses.
