East Tech is a stand-alone magnet school/career tech academy, so all students who attend applied and were selected through the Magnet Schools application process at magnet.ccsd.net. Zoned students cannot just register since we are not a regular comprehensive high school. East Tech prepares students for high school graduation, college, and the work force. We prepare them to be College, Career, and Life Ready! We offer a rigorous; college-preparatory curriculum. In addition, we are a project-based learning (PBL) school, so students collaborate with other students and within different disciplines to create projects relevant to course objectives. Our school population is approximately 2,000 students so the school is much smaller than the area zoned schools. We are known for providing a safe and friendly environment where students feel like family.
