Performing Arts Magnet Recruiter Strategist
Mrs. Mailyn Bashay, I am proud to be a DSA Dragon! I am originally from Southern California but grew up in Las Vegas, where I consider myself a true local. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education-English from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Go Rebels!) and hold two Master’s Degrees: one in Differentiated Instruction and another in Educational Leadership. This is my 12th year at Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts, where I serve as the Magnet Recruiter & Strategist. In my role, I help teachers explore and implement the most innovative strategies and techniques to ensure student success. I also travel across the Las Vegas Valley proudly showcasing our incredible programs and sharing with 8th grade students the exciting opportunities that await them at Del Sol. My goal is to help students reach their fullest potential by fostering a safe, creative, and collaborative learning environment that builds strong character and leadership skills. Outside of school, I enjoy expanding my skills as a home chef, catching new movie releases, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Performing Arts Magnet Coordinator Strategist
Mrs. Nicole Hunt, I am excited to join Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts as the Magnet Coordinator Strategist! Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Nevada 22 years ago to begin my teaching career. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and my Master’s degree in The Art of Education from Sierra Nevada University. Throughout my career, I’ve had a passion for science, leadership, and helping students succeed. In 2021, I was honored with the Heart of Education Award, and I currently serve as Treasurer of the Nevada State Science Teachers Association. At Del Sol, I look forward to leading our magnet program with a focus on vision, opportunity, and growth for every student. Outside of school, I love traveling the world, spending time with my family, and cheering on my kids in all they do. I live by the motto: “Give everything your best.”
