It's so hard to put into words the grandeur of Boston in 2026. The performance was profoud and the feedback received from world class clinicians was gushing. What was probably the Orchestra's most challenging repitore and concert expereince was met head on with purpose. Boston was like a second by the time we toured Harvard, MIT, and spent our time eating our way through Back Bay. We navigated subways and crowds with the very best and the dinner cruise on a yacht with 3 other school orchestras was epic. We grew so much readying ourselves for this adventure and doubled the growth once our faces hit the chilly air of a Boston in late winter. 

The Coronado Festival Orchestra trip went to LA in April of 2026 and again was nammed 1st place Gold Rating and our Violas took home the prize for most outanding section. We really did it all! From vollebyall in the sands at Hunting Beach, meeting dinasuars at Natural History Museum, and watching the LA Phil at Walt Disney Hall. Knotts Berry Farm was a welcomed thrill and memories were made. 

The 2024-2025 Chamber Orchestra enrolled in a festival that folded and we lost our Spring trip, but we were not down and out! We booked our own Cathedral Tour of San Antonio and held two 60 minute concerts featuring our own repertoire plus accompany two outstanding soloists - Laura Scalzo playing Oblivion & Diego Chavarria playing the US premiere of the Mudejar Guitar Concerto! We enjoyed dining on the River Walk and playing in historic and impressive Cathedrals, celebrating our theme of Echoes and Memories. We finished off with being the invited ensemble to perform at the University of Texas, San Antonio's International Guitar festival where we accompanied world renown artists Isaac Bustos and Jay Kacherski. Time spent at the original Six Flags and exploring the Alamo capped off a wonderful concert tour! 

The Coronado Festival Orchestra trip went to Northern Los Angeles in April 2025. Students took First Place Gold Rating and our 6 basses won the adjudicators award for outstanding section! We enjoyed our time at Ventura Beach and hanging by the pool. The 40 students also watched a concert that featured Randal Goolsby on the violin and a world premiere, Gospel Mass to a sold out show at Walt Disney Hall and the LA Phil. We rounded out our trip to the Aerospace museum and a day at Universal Studios. 

The Coronado HS Chamber Orchestra teamed up with the CHS Wind Ensemble to spend 5 Days in New York City March 27- 31, 2024. During their time sight seeing, listening, and experiencing the City they performed twice at the DiMenna Center and the world-renowned Carnegie Hall. 

The Coronado Festival Orchestra trip went to San Diego April 11-13, 2024. In addition to exploring the amazing parks, beach, and SeaWorld of San Diego the students performed for an adjudicated festival and saw the San Diego Symphony in concert with world renown pianist Lang Lang at the Rady Shell.

The Coronado HS Chamber Orchestra traveled for 3 Days through suny southern Californi in April of 2023. During their time they saw Scherezade at Walt Disney Hall, toured the Grammy Museum, took 1st place at their festival, toured Santa Monica, and spent an entire day (open to close) at Disenyland.
