In 7th grade, students will explore the facets of digital media & communication through animation by learning the basic elements of digital and stop-motion animation/Claymation using a program called Frames. Throughout the unit, students will build teamwork and problem solving skills while carefully planning out your storyline using scripts and storyboards.
Additionally, students will learn the importance of the use and selection of color, texts/fonts, music/sound effects, clarity, flow and movement.  

Students will explore the principles of engineering and design by learning the basics of Google SketchUp in a 3D modeling unit, which they get to design and 3D print a project of their choice!
This unit is designed to help students to better develop an understanding of geometry and orthographic projection to strengthen math skills and general understanding of 3-dimensional views while also requiring critical thinking and problem solving skills.
